With reference to my Despatch No. 223 of
the 29th, July, 1918, I have the honour to inform you that my Executive Council have recommended that the widow of the late Sergeant Glendinning should be granted a similar pension to those allowed to the widows of Inspector O'Sullivan and Sergeant Clarke who lost their lives in the Cresson Street Affray which was reported in my Despatch No. 56 of 14th. February, 1918, and which were approved in your telegram of the 4th. April.

I have therefore in anticipation of your sanction authorised the payment from Colonial funds of a sum sufficient to bring the sum of £23 13 1 due from the Widows and Orphans' Pensions to a total of £104 per annum. I shall be glad to learn that my action has your approval.
